John "Jock" Rucker

We are saddened to hear of Jock’s passing. The Rucker and Phillips kids grew up together on Main Street and shared many great times together especially while attending Hobgood Elementary and Central High. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

you will be missed by all that you touched in life

Jock was a team mate of mine for three years in basketball at Central High School. During that time he lead us to the state tournaments my junior and senior years. Many great memories shared.

I am so very sorry to learn of Jock’s passing. May all of his family experience a peace that passes understanding at this very stressful time.

Jock was always a great friend to me and a very special person. I will never forget him and his smile. There were very few times I ever saw Jock without his sweet smile and a hug. He will truly be missed by all that had the honor to know him and call him friend. Rest in peace my good friend. Love you and your sweet family.

A great friend. A great man. I appreciate his help in my career. Heaven has welcomed one of the best.
