John Ray Keeney

John was one of my favorite teachers growing up, knowing him from the teachers lounge as a tiny kid, through driver's ed, and of course in class. He made learning fun and I enjoy history to this day as do my adult children. Thank you John, for making such a lasting impression on my life.

I remember his class. A humble man with an incredible record of service.

I had the pleasure to work with John at USD 231. My deepest condolences.

Mr.Keeney was a great teacher. I am now a teacher and I think of him often when I am teaching history or civics. He taught with dedication and passion.

Mr. Keene was one of my favorite teachers at GHS, class of ‘75. I later enjoyed holding conversations and discussions via Facebook. Mr. Keeney positively influenced many students in his life. He was always instructive, informative, and fair. He will be missed. My prayers for peace to his loved ones.

Mr. Keeney was an amazing teacher. One of three I remember from High School. I was his TA after taking his class because I enjoyed his candor, gentleness, and intelligence. He made me feel passionate about being an American. Sending my love for the loss of a great man.
