John's Obituary

 

John Paul Kotlan, 75, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2017 in Conroe, Texas.

 

John’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday October 10, 2017 at Vineyard Church of Conroe with the Reverend Brian Fox officiating.

 

John was born in Salina, Kansas on October 12, 1941. John was raised by his parents, William F. Kotlan and Lael F. (Schmidt) Kotlan, and graduated from Enid High School in Enid, Oklahoma.  John owned and operated Main Meat Market in McAllen, Texas before his retirement in 2003.   John was a long time member of Vineyard Church of Conroe and was a bingo shark at the Friendship Center. 

 

John was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Cherry Ann Prudot and Daniel Kotlan. John is survived by his children, Bill Kotlan and wife Anthea Kotlan, Jay Kotlan; siblings, George Kotlan of Enid, Oklahoma, Mary Long and husband Dr. John Long of Medina, Ohio, Willa Rogers and husband Tom Rogers of Forney, Texas, Frances Arambula of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Rachel Kotlan, Erin Kotlan; and many beloved nephews and nieces.

 

Memorials may be given to Vineyard Church of Conroe. John and his family wish to extend their sincere thanks to Anthea Kotlan, John’s daughter-in-law, for her care during his illness.
