John M.'s Obituary

     John Martin Lynch, Sr, age 65, a resident of 5182 Terra Ceia Road, Pantego NC died, February23, 2018.

     A memorial service will be held for John Martin Lynch, Sr. on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home, 434 East Main Street Belhaven, N.C. 27810 and will be officiated by Marty Alligood and William Jefferson.  The family will receive friends at the home. 

     John was born at home in Seat Pleasant, MD to Edgar Walker Lynch and Helen Marshall Strobel Lynch on August 7, 1952.

     Survivors include two sisters, Helen Lynch and husband Sammie Potter, Mary Lynch and husband Ike Johnson. John had nine children, four daughters, Marlenna Maria Lynch, Diana Jean Humm, Deanna Lavanna Beane, Katrina Marie Kimble, five sons, Jacob Eugene Lynch, Joseph Lucifer Lynch, Damien Michael Lynch, John Martin Lynch, Jr., James Martin Lynch, thirty-one grandchildren, Lisa, Daniel, Christopher, John M. Lynch III, Adam, Tilla,, Brianna, Ashley, Brandon, Megan, Aston, Jerieka, Carrie, Wyonna, William, Jacob, Anna Maria, James, Jazzmen, Kaitlin, Ethan, Malaki, Jorja Ray, Raven, Scott, Kierstin, Gabriel, Gavin, Jeremy, Aaron, Adelyn, nine great grandchildren, Xavier, Issac, Lydia, Allison, Charlotte, Brooklyn, William, Ziara, and April.

     John was preceded in death, by his parents, a daughter, Tilla Marie Lynch, a granddaughter, Jessica, and one brother, Edgar Walker “Sonny” Lynch Jr.

     John was employed at R & S Service Center in Belhaven where he was loved by his co-workers, and was a real friend to them and others. He will be missed by his family and friends. May you rest in peace.

     He died while trying to save someone else. Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his Friends. John 15:13     The family kindly asks for memorial contributions  to be made to St. Jude Medical, Inc., One St. Jude Drive, St. Paul, MN 55117-9983
