We were so lucky to have been able to visit John and Nancy in their lovely home when we visited New Hampshire in September 2023. John served us his famous cocktails and told such wonderful stories. A true raconteur and a wonderful host. A loving husband, father and grandfather. Lovely to have known you, John. We will be thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. I am so sorry for the loss of this man, who was loved by so many people. I don’t believe we actually had met, but I remember how cool Barb and Jay were in school, so they obviously had wonderful parents. I am praying for this family and his friends, for peace and comfort.

Know Joanne and I are thinking about you. And know also that John is partly responsible for the man I am today. He was always so kind to me back in the day and mostly I never felt like he was judging me.

One day he bee lined across the Cricenti’s parking lot to see me. He stuck out his hand, grabbed mine firmly for a shake, held it tightly while he looked me straight in the eyes, and said, “Timmy, you’re a good man.”

To Barb and the rest of the family. Although I never met your Dad I feel like I did with that stunning goodbye in his singular obit. He appears to have passed on all his exceptional qualities to you Barb, and your relationship to him matches with my Dad who died at this same time over a decade ago. Healing takes a while but will eventually transform to immense gratitude and yes, laughter, for having such wonderful men guide us thru life.
