John Raymond Madison Sr. 85, departed this life on February 13, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born September 18, 1933 in Fredericktown, Missouri, the son of Verneida and Samuel Madison.
He married Clara Lee Cashshaw on March 22, 1950. The marriage lasted 66 years. Clara Lee was truly the love of his life.
John retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline in 1988. He was a St. Louis Cardinal Fan and loved watching baseball.
He was preceded in death by: mother and father; Verneida and Samuel Madison; wife; Clara Lee Madison, son; John Madison Jr.; one brother; Robert Madison Sr., two sisters; Dolores Wheeler and Gracie Madison, and grandson; Christopher Ellis.
He leaves to cherish his memories; son; Stephen(Scarlett) Madison of Springfield, IL, daughters; Pamela Brown and Karen Madison-Herring of Mesa, Arizona and Sandra Madison of Springfield, IL, brother-in-law; Ronald(Yvonne) Doolin of Springfield, IL, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
