I remember this little guy whose family lived in a house by my grandparents and my sister and me. He had a wonderful family. I'm so sorry for his family .

John's Obituary

John Preston Mangrum, 68, passed away on July 31, 2025, in Disney, Oklahoma. Born on February 1, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, John lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of everyday moments.

John was known for his generous spirit and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Quick to make friends and always ready to lend a helping hand, he brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. Whether sharing a joke or offering support during difficult times, John had a gift for lifting the spirits of those around him.

He found joy in the little things—spending time with his beloved dog Duke, hunting for treasures at garage sales, and enjoying the company of friends and family. These moments reflected his down-to-earth nature and his love for community and connection.

John is survived by his son JJ Mangrum and daughter-in-law Charlee Mangrum; his granddaughter Moody Kalkbrenner; his sisters Sharon Rose Ryan, Carol Penderaft, Linda Sue Hall and Carla Tremble; and his brother Robert Samuel Mangrum Jr. He was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Mae Mangrum, father Robert Samuel Mangrum, and brother William Jerry Mangrum.

John’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him—for his laughter, generosity, and unwavering presence. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A Memorial Service will be held on August 8, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Traditions 35 Main Street Kellyville, Oklahoma.

Memorial services will be 2 pm, Friday, August 8, 2025, at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral Home in Kellyville, OK.
