One of the funniest and gentlest souls I ever met. Met Jack in 1991at Sikorsky- I was only 18 and he called me his little brother. The years of laughter will never be forgot my friend. Thank You Big Guy !!!!

ANSONIA: John “Jack Mac” Marcarelli, age 64, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, November 10, 2018, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

     Jack was born in New Haven on December 21, 1954, son of the late Alexander and Mary Flynn Marcarelli. A resident of Ansonia for most of his life, he was a graduate of Ansonia High School and CT School of Electronics in New Haven. He was employed by City Printing in New Haven and later at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for twenty-six years until his early retirement in 2008. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Hilton Head, playing golf, and hanging out with his “family” friends at St. Sebastian Club in Ansonia. Jack was also a member of Highland Golf Club, Lemko Club, Norwood A.C., Slovak Club and social member of Webster Hose Co. #3 in Ansonia.

     He is survived by his beloved cousins, Gale Ann Franco of West Haven, Kathleen Marcarelli Clemente of Ansonia and Loreen Brelsford of Meriden and numerous close friends, especially Gene DiGiovanni Sr. and Christopher Lussier.

     Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, his funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Sebastian Club, 86 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia, CT 06401.
