John Cecil McDowell, Jr. was born February 12,1964 in Kansas City, Missouri to Fannie Eu’dora and John Cecil McDowell, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Genevieve and Rayme, niece Pamela and others.
John attended East High School, where he favored R.O.T.C. as the best.
John met the love of his life in March of 1982. He married Theresa Eileen Chambers. Six months after marriage, they had their first child, John Cecil McDowell, III. Then, in 1985, they had a daughter, Catherine. In 1991, they were blessed with a second son, Christopher. Finally, they were blessed with their fourth child, Jessica.
John worked at Independence Custom Fab from 1983 until 1994. In 1997, for the next 20 years, he became a screen printer at All Stars. He finished out his career by working at Happy Times T-Shirt, starting in 2012.
John loved his family very much. He liked to grill. He liked to watch various types of movies. But, he loved WWE Smackdown. He was an avid coin collector and avid gun shooter.
John departed this life on June 23, 2022.
John leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Theresa McDowell, two sons John Cecil McDowell, III and Christopher Lee McDowell; two daughters Jessica Christine McDowell and Catherine Loraine McDowell; three sisters Joy, Linda, and Susie; four brothers David, Mike, Lyle, and John Collins; brother-in-law Curtis Chambers,; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
