Mr. John James McQueen Jr., 86, died January 29, 2015 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.He was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in the Palm Bay, Micco and Sebastian area for 27 years coming from Levittown, Long Island, New York.John retired from the New York City Fire Department after 25 years.He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, FL.Survivors include daughters, Donna D'Alessandro and her husband, Domenic of Palm Bay and Nancy Heidt of Sebastian; son, John McQueen of Kings Park, L.I., New York; granddaughter, Deanna D'Alessandro; grandsons, Domenic John D'Alessandro and Paul D. Heidt.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann McQueen and daughters, Carol and Patricia McQueen.Memorial contributions may be made to FDNY Foundation, 9 MetroTech Center, Room 5E-10, Brooklyn, NY 11201 in memory of John James McQueen Jr.A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2015 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, Florida with Father John Morrissey, celebrant.
