Pauline, SC- John Lam "J.L." Peake, Jr., 87, husband of Marcia Stone Peake, died Thursday, March 24, 2016.Born December 14, 1928 in the Glenn Springs Community, J.L. was a son of the late Hattie West Peake and John Lam Peake, Sr. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church.In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, John E. Peake (Deloris), Jerry L. Peake (Shirley), and Susan Peake Cherry-Casey (Jerry); two sisters, Elizabeth Peake Kennedy and Mary Peake Browning; and caregivers, Debra Crawford and Celeste Scott.The family will receive friends Friday, March 25th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.Funeral services will be Saturday, March 26th, 11AM at Calvary Episcopal Church, 3685 Glenn Springs Road, Glenn Springs, SC 29374.Burial will be held in the church cemetery.The family will be at the home of his daughter, Susan in Glenn Springs, SC.In remembrance of J.L., memorials may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, Cemetery Fund, P O Box 549, Pauline, SC 29374.
