To Johnnys family, Im so sorry for the your loss. Johnny was a good friend of everyone on the hill at his Grandma and Grandpa Molly & John.
He always made us all laugh. He was so good at making everyone smile. He was a true gem.

Johnny, How sad I am to read this about your son John. You and the rest of the family must be devastated. I shall certainly be thinking of you in the days to come. The picture that accompanied the obituary made it quite clear that John was a true Shaffer but I also see Molly there too. i know he will always be with you and his spirit will help keep you safe. John Richard Shaffer, 50, of Mannington passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was born in Fairmont on July 25, 1968, son of Johnny Dale Shaffer and his wife Cathy, and Nancy Vincent and her husband Kenny.
John is survived by his children, Kaitlyn Hardesty, Addy Shaffer, and John Shaffer; grandchildren, Ryleigh and Andrew; sisters, Natalie Michael, Lori Flint and her husband Joshua, and Kelly Henderson and her husband Tim; nieces, Jena and Haylee; nephews, Hayden and Jacob; grandmother Molly Shaffer; cousins, Deandrea and Nicola Amendola; and an uncle, Gregory Amendolea.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Alvida Amendolea; and his paternal grandfather, John Shaffer.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Cremation services, provided by Domico Funeral Home, will follow. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
