John Verstuyft, he and I are first cousins, “Diddle” when we were young (as in little brother), was my best friend. I recall many fun adventures together as kids. I remember (like it’s a movie in my brain), that we were walking from my house on West Kirk Place over to his house on Cupples Road. And I said that I was hungry. Out of somewhere he produced this glorious Snickers bar. He took off the wrapper and broke it into two pieces, one larger than the other. He handed the larger half to me....
