John Pickett "Pick" Wall

Mr. John Pickett "Pick" Wall,71 passed away Sunday, February 15,2026.

Mr. John Pickett Wall, affectionately known to most of us as Pick or JP was Born on July 12, 1954 as the oldest son of Howard Pickett(Buddy) and Lossie Mae Wall. He was educated in the Richmond County Schools systems and graduated 1972, the last class to graduate from Rockingham Senior High School.

Upon graduation, Pick enrolled at Richmond Technical Community College (RTCC) where he completed one year of his associate degree in Business Administration before going on to Pembroke State University where he received a BS in Biology in 1976.

Pick taught biology briefly at Richmond Senior High School and then moved  into a position as Assistant Manger ALEO Manufacturing in Rockingham, NC. His career ended at CXS Railroad where he was employed as Data Entry Clerk, Switchman, Conductor and Service Locomotive Engineer. He retired in 1996 after 17 years.

Pick accepted Christ at and early age and was baptized at Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Pick was survived by his brothers Darrell Wall(Patrice), and Wayne Wall(Karen), sisters Cathy Thomas and Leila Carol Wall-Brown (Hilbert) six nephews, Darrell Wall ll, Bradley Wall, Jared Thomas, Jackson Brown, and Eddie Lindsey lll and Stephen Lindsey (Ladita). seven nieces Aarika Wall (Michael), Jessica Wall, Sydney Chicora (Matt), Jayden Jackson, Deloris Covington(Terry) Rita Cash(Lennis), and  Loris Lindsey(Bryan) and host of great nieces and nephews and friends.
