John "Big John" Waseman

Yep, I still tell my friends some good memories of John, He was a special guy and friends to all us at GTE.. When we had to work along a highway and have traffic stopped and started _ John was the man - he'd jam a cigar up between his teeth and as big as he was - both arms held up high --- all vehicles stopped as directed - it was something to see...

I was so very very sorry to hear of John's passing! He was a bigger than life type of character and he will be sorely missed. We send our deepest condolences to Sue, Scott, Kelley, and all their families. Here's a kiss for you, John!!!

We send a "big hug" full of positive energy and encouragement in honor of "Big John". I will always remember our softball days as we competed in the Minerva league and played in so many weekend tournaments. Those times still remain some of my most fond memories. I can still hear his voice calling my nickname, "Hey, Chicker!" What folks need to know is that "Big John" had a big heart that was full of a caring spirit. Let's use that caring spirit...
