Kate and familyI am so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I worked with him at McKee for years. He was the absolute best! I will always cherish all of our talks and his kindness. I have thought about him often through the years. My condolences to you all.

We are so sorry to hear about Ed. He sure was a fun loving guy who could tell the jokes. Always looked for him when we drove by to wave or stop and say hello.

John's Obituaries

John “Ed” Waugaman, 76, of Acme, passed away at home on Saturday, June 7, 2025. 

 

Ed was born on Jan. 8, 1949 in Greensburg. A son of the late Donald and Evelyn (Gross) Waugaman, he married Kathy L. (Randolph) Waugaman in 1971. He was preceded in death by his Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law, Robert and Lois Randolph.

 

Ed was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked for 28 years as a Youth Counselor with Adelphoi Village and was an avid golfer. Ed graduated from Mount Pleasant Area Junior-Senior High School and West Virginia Wesleyan University. 

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Kate; his three children, Tara (Jon) Achtziger, Anne (Jason) Waugaman, Jon Waugaman and family friend, Patrick; his cherished grandchildren, Andrew (Megan) Puskar, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Achtziger. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Waugaman; his brother-in-law, Rob (Ann) Randolph; his nephews, Greg (Christine) and Phil (Krista) Randolph; his great-niece, Mia Randolph; and his feline companion, Zoey. 

 

Arrangements are under the supervision of the Ferguson Funeral Home in Scottdale. At Ed’s request, there will be no viewing or service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a charity or church of your choice.
