John's Obituary

    Williamsport - John Wesley Waymire, 61, Williamsport, passed away in the Majestic Care of Lafayette, on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 5:08 a.m.    John was born in Williamsport, Indiana on May 15, 1964.  He was the son of the late Paul and Mary Ellen (Kincade) Waymire Jr.  John was raised and educated in Attica and for the past 34 years has lived in Williamsport.    John formerly worked at Rose Art in Lafayette for 11 years.  John enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to hunt, fish and hunt for  mushrooms.  He was an avid NASCAR fan with Dale Jarrett as his favorite driver.  He also enjoyed watching all types of racing and enjoyed four-wheeling.      On May 9, 1992, John married Daneen Lynette Dawson in the Williamsport Christian Church.     He leaves behind his wife, Daneen of 33 years along with a son, Hunter Waymire, Williamsport; a grandson, Dawson Waymire, Williamsport; two brothers, Michael (Pat) Waymire, Lafayette and Bobby (Donna) Penick, Attica; two sisters, Nancy Richardson, Dexter, MO and Cathy (Mike) Wallace, Lufkin, TX; several nieces and nephews survive.    Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica on Wednesday, June 4th, from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Harlan Kincade officiating.  Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Williamsport.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.
