John White was such a good bridge player and a stalwart at our little bridge club at Austin Heath. He was remarkable to speak to and kept his sense of humour to the end. You will be missed.

''Jack'' and I were very good friends from his days at work at Schweitzer - Mauduit. Remained good friends after he retired. We both enjoyed going to car shows and an occasional dinner, too. He loved his Andy Griffith show and always would try to stump me, Mr. Trivia. I stumped him very often!! We spoke on the telephone daily. My sincere condolences to Barbara and her family!! R.I.P.
