Johnny Aldridge Funeral Service Broadcast
John Leslie “Johnny” Aldridge, age 80, husband of the late Sylvia Alene Cox Aldridge, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024. Johnny was born December 5, 1943, in Anderson County, KY to the late Willie “Cecil” Aldridge and Mary Frances Hellard Aldridge.
Including his wife Alene and his parents, Cecil & Mary, Johnny was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Wiseman, and five brothers, Jackie, Michael, Willie, David & George Aldridge.
Johnny was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and served as a deacon and treasurer for over 50 years. He was a former employee with Lawrenceburg Auto Supply for over 25 years, and a janitor for over 18 years with the Anderson County School System. Johnny was a former umpire for the Alton Ruritan Club and an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. Johnny loved fishing, taking walks, and going to Gatlinburg, TN, where he really enjoyed watching all the different people.
Johnny is survived by his two sons, Anthony Aldridge of Lawrenceburg, and Lee F. Aldridge of Bardstown; two sisters, Patty Hendricks (Bill) of Lawrenceburg, and Barbara Stratton of Gravel Switch; a brother, Carl Aldridge of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Jeanette Aldridge, Chris Aldridge, Travis Aldridge, Shelby Aldridge, and Adam Aldridge; and several great grandchildren; a special friend and fishing buddy, Corinne Adams.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Ritchey officiating. Burial will follow in the Bruner-McMichael Cemetery in Anderson County. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
