I was heartbroken to hear about Johnny´s passing. I had the honor of getting to know him during his time as a resident, and he was truly one of a kind. His sense of humor was unforgettable-always quick with a joke or a clever comment that could brighten even the toughest days. I’m so sad to learn of Johnny’s passing. We were friends from childhood when my grandparents lived across the street from Mrs Garry. Later I went to school at Shawnee & we graduated together. Not many of the class of ‘65 left. I’ll remember him fondly.

Johnny's Obituary

Johnny Rhea Crawford, 77, of Joiner, AR, passed away on May 25, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR.  He was born on July 3, 1947, in Joiner, AR to the late Rhea Crawford and Lois Juanita Sheppard Crawford.  He was a United States Army Veteran, a factory worker at Fruit of the Loom, and of the Methodist Faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.  Mr. Crawford is survived by two brothers, Cecil (Tracy) Crawford of Marie, AR and Richard Crawford of Joiner, AR, and one sister, Garey Kaye Crawford of Joiner, AR.  There will be a private Graveside service May 28, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett, AR.  Bro. Gary Andrews will be officiating.  Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola will be in charge of the services.
