Johnny Durbin was a great guy who worked hard and loved his family very much. Clyde told me they not only worked together at Footwear, but rode tricycles together as little kids. Our hearts are broken for the family. He left too soon and I know he will be missed so much.

Durbin, Sr., Johnny Wayne, age 67, passed away, Wednesday, August 27, 2025. He was born in St. Louis, County to Mary Durbin Frederick, and raised by his grandparents Fred and Cora Durbin. Johnny was a retired maintenance man for a local nursing home. Johnny enjoyed cooking for his family and also loved listening to music and playing old records.
He is the beloved husband of Anna Durbin (nee Gross); dear father of Johnny (Janea) Durbin, Jr. and Jennifer (Nick) Valentine; loving grandfather of Abigail and Adison Durbin; also surviving are his siblings Shirley Krupp, Margaret White, Nelda White and Tommy Fredrick. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and 2 brothers Bobby Jo Fredrick and Oscar Fredrick.
Services: Memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
