Johnny Gene Higgins, Sr.

Johnny Gene Higgins, Sr. was born August 14, 1936 in Delaware, AR to Ike and Faye Cox Higgins, Sr. He was a retired lifelong owner of H & S, Inc., he loved watching Nascar, working on cars and spending time with his family. He was a Giver. Mr. Higgins passed away January 26, 2021 at his home in Obion, TN at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Jack Higgins, L.V. Higgins and Tommy Higgins, three sisters Bobbie Farris, Curly Laster and Patsy McKay and one grandson Joshua Higgins. He is survived by his wife Mercedes Higgins of Obion, TN,one son Johnny Gene Higgins, Jr. of Gosnell, AR, three daughters Rhonda (Randall) Dickson of Blytheville, AR, Sheila (Shane) Still and Donna (Roderick Lambert) Higgins of Gosnell, AR, three stepchildren Ernest Reasons of Dyersburg, TN, Tony Reasons of Obion, TN and Lisa Smith of Abilene, TX, mother of his children Myrtle Higgins of Gosnell, AR, one brother Ike Higgins, Jr. of Huffman, AR, two sisters Paulette Stanley of Conway, AR and Sharon Stanley of Gary, IN, thirteen grandchildren Ricky, Randall, Ronnie, John, Stephen, Heather, Scott, Kyle, Tracy, LouJeana, Robin, Tasha and Denise, nineteen great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR. The funeral will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial is at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville, AR with Bro. Mike Welch officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR is in charge.
