Hugs to Jan, Missy, Jen, and Annaliese. Jon was such a wonderful and loving soul. He loved his girls so much and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather.......when I think of him, the words "loving protector" comes to mind.

Jonathan's Obituaries

Jonathan "Jon" Lasher, 80, (August 2, 1944-February 5, 2025) of Wethersfield, beloved husband of 55 years to Jan (Plummer) Lasher, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was the son of the late Richard B. Lasher and Gene (Pratt) Lasher of Wethersfield, CT.

Jon was a 1962 graduate of Wethersfield High School and a 1965 graduate of Mitchell College. He proudly served in the United States Army doing a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1966-1967, where he earned several medals.

After returning home from Vietnam, Jon began his professional career at Lasher Supply Company in 1967, specializing in industrial pipes, valves, and fittings sales. After several years of success in this field, he transitioned to a new role as a purchasing agent at CNF Constructors. Throughout his career, Jon was known for his work ethic and dedication.

Besides his wife Jan, he leaves two daughters, Melissa Lasher (Glastonbury, CT) and Jennifer Lasher (Hopkinton, MA) as well as his granddaughter Annaliese Berry who brought him immense joy. Jon also leaves behind his twin brother Jared Lasher and wife Kathy; his brother Joel Lasher and wife Jane; and his sister Betsy Forrest and husband Frank, as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice care team at Hartford Hospital for their support and compassion during his final days.

In order to fulfill Jon's wishes, there will be no calling hours or memorial service. Friends and family are invited to a burial with military honors on April 7th, 2025 at 10:00 am at The Village Cemetery, 1 Marsh Street, Wethersfield, CT. 06109.
