I can't express how sadden I was when Melanie called to tell me of Joni's passing. Joni and I shared such a close friendship before we "grew up". I had the previledge of be treated like an additional sister in a home where, God knows, there was already enough of those. Joni Delvers, 57, of 112 Mandy Court, died Thursday, July 26, 2012. Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Burial will be in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends on Sunday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Joni, daughter of the late Donald Savage and the late Mildred Fisher Savage, was predeceased by her sister, Judy Layson.
