Jose Cordeiro Obituary

Jose M. Cordeiro, known to many as “Joe,” passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on November 24, 1947, in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores, Portugal.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, José and Berta Cordeiro, and his brother, Mario F. Cordeiro. He and his wife raised their family in Newman, where he enjoyed farming, fishing, camping, and time with loved ones. Joe was also a board member of the Crows Landing Pentecost Society.

Joe was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016 and was surrounded by the love and support of his family throughout his illness.
