Gutierrez, Sr. age 84 of Devine, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 06, 2015 at his residence.He is preceded in death by his wife Emma Gutierrez; parents, Salamon and Dolores (Aguirre) Gutierrez; brother, Roberto A. Gutierrez and wife Thelma; sister, Antonia Gallegos; brother-in-law, David Cardenas.He is survived by his sons, Joe Jr. Gutierrez and wife Sheila of Lytle, Daniel Gutierrez of Laredo, Steven Gutierrez and wife Jeanette of Laredo; daughters, Norma Ishee and husband Wendell of Meadows Place, Teresa Wonderling of San Antonio, Rebecca Eckles and husband Jim of Massachusetts, Isabel Shifflett and husband Brian of San Antonio; sister, Paula Cardenas of Devine; fifteen grandchildren, Wendell Ishee, Jr, Melinda Baranowski, Michael Gutierrez, Vanessa Blythe, Ashley Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez, Sophia Gutierrez, Christina Esquibel, Henry Esquibel, Jr, Rachel Esquibel, Paul Esquibel, Jason Esquibel, Nate Eckles, Nicole Shifflett, Matthew Shifflett; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank Gallegos of Devine.Visitation will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, 303 W.
