Jose M Leal

Jose M. Leal, 78, of Houston, Texas, entered into eternal rest on December 19, 2025. Born in Mexico on September 12, 1947, he lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and pride in his roots.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Eulalia Leal, and his sisters, Dora Leal and Gloria Leal.

From 1963 to 1976, Jose worked as a truck driver, traveling throughout the Republic of Mexico and taking great pride in knowing its many roads. He later dedicated 18 years of service to the City of Houston Public Works.

Jose was a devoted Houston Astros fan, and his presence will be deeply missed as his family gathers to watch future games in his honor.

He shared more than 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Juanita Leal. He leaves behind his children, Carlos Leal and wife Sofia, and Dora Aleman and spouse Ruben; his grandchildren, Ruben Aaron, Ruben Joshua, Luciana Katia, and Synnah Andreya; his siblings, Maria Vargas, Dolia Leal, and Eliodoro Leal; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Services will be held on December 22, 2025, at South Houston Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
