Jose's Obituary

Jose E. Rocha, 61, of Fall River, a laborer, passed away Saturday, July 27th at home. He was the husband of Rose (Raposo) Rocha.Born in Ribeirinha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Eugenio and Guilhermina (Correia) Rocha. Mr. Rocha worked as a laborer for 27 years out of Local 610. He had worked for L.A.L. Construction. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. Besides his wife of 38 years, he is survived by two sons, Jason Rocha and Derek Rocha, both of Fall River; four sisters, Mary Mello, Natalia Cabral (husband Jose), Mary Jane Raposo (husband John), all of Fall River and Maria Pavao (husband Emilao) of Dartmouth; a grandson, Dominic Rocha; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5 – 8 p.m.
