Joseph's Obituary

Mr. Joseph Archibald, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center. Age 81 years. He was born on January 11, 1936 in Lewiston, Alabama to Joseph Sr. and Adell Archibald.Mr. Archibald was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was an employee of the Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry and was a member of UAW Local 668. He retired after 26.6 years of service. After retiring, Mr. Archibald worked as a crossing guard for Saginaw Public Schools. One of his favorite pastimes was eating cheese puffs, which he did all the time. Mr. Archibald enjoyed fishing, working on cars, building things, and he really loved “sweets” and Cadillacs. He also enjoyed volunteering at many churches.He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Lotta Archibald; one daughter, Joyce Archibald; grandchildren, Sheila Archibald “She She,”Indianhead, Maryland, Sharquice Archibald “Sqeaks”, Saginaw, Michigan; four sisters, Bertha A. Amos (Alfred) Saginaw, Michigan, Katrue (Johnny) Lucious, Ralph, Alabama, Andie (James) Crenshaw, Jackson, Michigan, and Nellie Blair; two brothers, Jessie (Iona) Archibald, Charlie (Vera) Archibald, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; many nieces; special niece, Maxine Burton, Saginaw, Michigan; many nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; mother and father-in-law, Martha and John; two sisters-in-law, Lila Head and Iona Archibald; three brothers-in-law, John, R.L. and W.C.
