Homegoing celebration for Mr. Joseph "Spook" Burden of Tampa, who passed away Monday, August 13, 2012, will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605, with Pastor Michael Neely, officiating.Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Tampa, FL.Mr. Joseph Burden, Sr. was a native of Colquitt, Georgia and a resident of Tampa, Florida for over 40 years. Mr. Burden was a crane operator with Trademark Recycling until he became ill. He was known as an honest hard-working man, as well as a good father that provided for his children.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, who raised him, Sarah Mae Miller, grandfather, Jim Miller; mother, Quela Mae Miller; father, Buster Burden and brother, L. V. Miller.He leaves to cherish memories of him: wife, Queen Burden; 8 sons, Willie Jean Burden, Joseph Burden, James Burden, Tyrone Burden, Derick Burden, Zachary Burden, Lavonti Burden, and Antonio McCleod; 5 daughters, Juanita Burden, Nikita Burden, Josie Burden, Mariah Owens, Maria McCleod; 1 brother, Walter L. Miller and wife, Sheen Ann; 4 sisters-in-law, Debra Cook, Oralee Garrett, Lottie Green and Earnestine Galvin, all of Colquitta, GA; 4 brothers-in-law, Simon Butler of Newton, GA;Nathaniel Butler and wife, Ann, Samuel Butler and Billy Joe Butler and wife, Margret ofColquitt, GA; over 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends, including Trademark Recycling.There will be viewing from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Wilson Funeral Home.
