Not sure what to say?

I served with Joe aboard the USS Jallao in 1969-1970, where he was a role model for us all. He represented and lived by the wonderful values we should all aspire to. His friendship and mentorship left a lasting impact on my life. Thank you, Joe.

I served aboard the USS Jallao with Joe. Then a freshly caught ensign I learned a great deal from Joe about the business of a submarine officer. More important than my professional development as an officer, Joe was the example to me of a gentleman. Joe treated all, officer or sailor, fairly and with compassion.

Joe was a good friend and shipmate aboard the USS Jallao (SS-368) in 1969. We served for over a year and remained friends ever since. He was the kindest person I ever met and served as my "Sea-Daddy" assisting me through the Submarine Qualification process. We lost touch for a while and found each other at church, St Mary Magdalen in Media in 2005 when we moved into the parish.
Rest in Peace my friend, we will meet on the other side.
Anthony C. Basilio Jr Capt. (USN- Ret.)

I'm sorry to hear of his passing and hope he is at peace now. He was a good man, my godfather, and a good friend of my father in the service.

Faithful Blessings Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED

May you rest in peace with Christ our Lord, Amen.
