I first met Joe when he lived on St. Christopher lane in St. Ann. We went to St. Gregory grade school and Mercy high school together. Joe was a good man and a good friend that will be missed by all that new him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Donnelly family.

Joe has been a integral part of the Donnelly/Hennessy/Wiese/Lampe clan it seems like forever. He will be missed by all for his quick wit, laughter and love of family and life. Peace can be found in thinking of the reunion going on right now with his parents and Pat and all his other relatives who proceeded him to heaven. We wish we could be there to celebrate his life with all of you. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I can't believe it's been 50 years. I grew up with Pat and Joe at Schaffers Park. And, of course, I think they were a part of Logan College gang in August of 1979. I often think of our childhood days and the fun we had. Joe was a part of lives as kids and always!

Words alone cannot describe Joe. As stated, Joe was the happiest when being with Cindy, their unbelievable children, Jessica, Sarah and Sean and his equally unbelievable grandchildren (Austin, Cameryn, Alexander and Brooke). In addition, his brothers and sisters were always up for a get together to reminisce about old times and have a pint or two. I was fortunate to be one of his cousins but I also consider him to be one of my closest friends. Thinking about growing up @ St. Gregory...

I was sorry to hear of his passing. Joe was always so happy and funny as heck. I use to see Joe a lot more in our younger days and always ran into him at St. Kevin's Homecomings.
Joe was a character and had that distinguished voice and that beautiful smile. I know he will be missed by many. ❣

Joe, know you’re with the angels in heaven. Maybe you’re playing in the St Joseph’s Golf Tournament with Neal. Saying prayers.
