Joseph Melvin Fenwick, 64 of Waldorf, Maryland.Joseph's JourneyJoseph Melvin Fenwick, affectionately known as "Buggy" was born Friday, August 8, 1952 in Charles County, Maryland to Theodore and Margaret (Green) Fenwick. He attended Charles County Public Schools and graduated from La Plata High School in 1972. He worked for the Naval Ordnance Station in Indian Head, Maryland, where he was employed for 32 years until his retirement in June 2016. He served as a Hazardous Material Handler.Joseph was a very quiet person. Back in the day he would only talk to people if the talk was about cleaning a car. Every car he has ever owned was always spit shine clean. He loved to clean his cars! Not only did he clean the outside and the inside of the car, but he cleaned the engine the same way. When you got in his car your feet had better be clean. Every time he stopped his car he would get out, go in the trunk and get the rag, so you knew what he would do next. If you made him mad you knew it, even though he did not tell you so, you knew! Joseph also loved to cook. His favorite foods were potato salad and coconut cake. Joseph was a real classy man, when he put on his suits no one could look like him. He was tall, dark and handsome. A Real Classic Man!Joseph loved God, his family and his church family. Early in life he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He would tell everyone he knew that he was not perfect, but once he made up his mind to serve the Lord, his life made a 360 degree turn and he never looked back. He was truly a servant of the Lord. He served in many positions in the church to include: Head Deacon and currently a Minister at Shabach Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. of Waldorf, Maryland.Peacefully on Friday morning, September 9, 2016 at his home in Waldorf, Maryland, Buggy entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Margaret (Green) Fenwick, brothers, James Fenwick and John Fenwick "Eddie"; sister-in-law, Alice Fenwick and brother-in-law, James Farmer. Joseph leaves to cherish loving memories with, his wife, Rosita Fenwick; children, Joseph Dorsey (Erica), Andre Fenwick (Melissa), Latronda Jackson, Stacy Sorrell (Terrence) and Eboni Gross; stepdaughter, Porsche Johnson; grandchildren, Joneice Butler, Jahmere Dorsey, Davondre Fenwick, Deondrae Taylor, Aniya Sorrell, Jasmin Sorrell, Raniya Green, Mehki Green, Jujuan Jackson, Montwan Jackson, Caron Jackson, Damiyah Jackson, Keyan Jackson and Summayah Jackson; step-grandson, Joshua Hairston; brothers, James Fenwick "Brother" (Barbara Jean) and Daniel Fenwick "Winky" (Sharon); sister, Mary Farmer; sister-in-law, Pearl Fenwick and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who truly loved him.Joseph will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.Viewing, 10:00am until 10:45am; Celebration of Life, 11:00am, Friday, September 16, 2016 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3150 Middletown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603
