I met Joe about 18 years ago through my sister Joanne and friend Irene. We would go to bingo. He was one of the best people that I felt happy to call my friend. You will be missed by all who loved you. RIP my friend.❤

Joseph Mammano – A lifelong resident of Somerville, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was 87 years old. Born, raised, and educated in Somerville, he was the son of the late Anorfrio and Mary Mammano. Joseph was a hard-working and dedicated man. He had a true passion for cooking, and his family always looked forward to his meals, knowing they were in for something delicious. When he wasn’t in the kitchen, Joseph could often be found around the house, fixing, cleaning, or taking on some handy project. He had a knack for keeping everything in good order. He also enjoyed trying his luck at the casino. Win or lose, he always came home with a smile, grateful for the fun and the experience. Joseph loved bingo, watching wrestling, and spending time with family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Willis) Mammano. Devoted father of Michael Denny, Kevin Denny, David V. Mammano, Joseph Mammano Jr. and the late Donna Denny and Rosemary Mammano. Loving grandfather of Joshua, Kimberly, Ryan, Brittney, Erica, Kenny, Vinny, and Sabrina. Cherished brother of Angelo Mammano and Rita Roy. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. Calling hours will be held in the George L. Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, on Wednesday, August 27th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
