To his children, grandchildren, sisters and family Dorothy and I feel your grief and lost. I met Pepe when he was 12 and I was 16. It was in front of Thrifty's. Some kids about 5 had surrounded him when I stepped in and said "You want my little brother, you want me" ha ha. I said let give you a ride home. That's when he became my little brother POR VIDA and his sisters became mine too who I already knew. I was fortunate to see him in town and would pick him up and going riding the old school...

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family in the loss of such a great fun loving guy. Will always remember his smile and witty ways and says. God bless you and may you Rest In Peace.

Obituary

Joseph "Pepe"'s Obituary

Joseph “Pepe” Salvatierra, 61 years old, passed away May 12th, 2023 during his fight with cancer.  Pepe was born in Blythe, California to Joseph C. Salvatierra and Mary Salvatierra.

Pepe was a man of many things, just never serious, he was always full of sarcastic jokes and you could bet on seeing him anywhere chit chatting with almost anyone. He was a man with many, many friends from all walks of life.  He was the kind of person if you needed anything he would give it, even if he didn’t have it, he still would find a way to help.

Pepe had numerous jobs over the years from taxi driving, to mechanics at Olsen’s Transmission for years to working at Hayday for a short time.

For many years you would find him umpiring at the Little League Fields, where he loved to umpire.  Let’s not forget a time where he coached some football.  He loved being around his grandkids and family.

In most recent years you could also find him and his cane in the golf cart with Troy Love at the races or at the fair working security, laughing and talking to just about everyone.

Joseph “Pepe” Salvatierra was preceded in death by his mother Mary Salvatierra, father Joseph C. Salvatierra, Valerie Nenigar, his son James A. Salvatierra and his sister Betty Eberling.

Pepe is survived by his children Aundra and Saundra Frazier, Chad Salvatierra, Mathew Salvatierra (Nicholas, Little Matthew, Kayden), Jessica Salvatierra (Isiaha, Anissa, Christopher, Noah), Brittney Salvatierra (David), Jennifer Nenigar (Jonathan, Devin) and his three sisters Linda Sanchez (Junior), Denise Salvatierra, Danette Spivey (Robert), his brother Donnie White and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Frye Chapel on Monday June 12th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at the VFW in Blythe.
