I just heard of Joe's passing. He was a good man, a fun guy to work with, and a good control room operator. I always enjoyed talking with him: he was always positive. He will be missed.

Joseph M. Prevoznik, 73, of Coplay, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph and his wife, Betty A. (Andrusky) Prevoznik, celebrated 50 years of marriage on December 23rd. Joseph was born June 6, 1944 in Cementon, he was the son of the late Michael and Julia (Groller) Prevoznik. He retired from Essroc Cement Corp., after 43 years of employment. He honorably served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Joseph was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors: wife, Betty; daughters, Denise, wife of Daniel Stewart, Stacey, wife of Efrain Marin and Coleen, wife of Jorge Alvarez; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Michael Prevoznik and his wife, Sandy and Richard Prevoznik; sisters, Barbara, wife of Steve Unger and Joan, wife of Mike Nagle; many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by a brother, John Prevoznik, 2 sisters, Anna Hammel and Julie ValentServices: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 7th at 10:30 a.m. St. John the Baptist Church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall. Family and friends may call Wednesday 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery. Online condolences may be submitted above.
