Not sure what to say?

So sorry to learn of Joe's passing. He was a great friend throughout our school days. Condolences to the family.

Good bye old friend! Victor Simpson

Joe was a good friend. He was always lively and always telling a story. Whether it be about his wife and family, his pets, his time on the range, former commute to work on a bicycle, his church, or what movies he’d watched throughout the week, Joe was always telling a story and talking about what he loved the most. He will be missed, his company was invaluable.

I fully agree with my classmates who have spoken about our dear friend Joe Snavely. I enjoyed my earliest days playing both football and baseball with Joe prior to us being ten years old. I was his family's newspaper carrier for three years...good old Pearl Avenue. Later, in 1965, following school integration, Joe and I were united again as high school seniors and members of the Marion Senior High football and baseball team. During the Spring of 1966, Joe and other classmates traveled to...

Say it ain’t so, Joe. You are one of the good guys and there is a real shortage of good guys these days. Soft spoken, kind, generous, and a friend to all. Time does not dim the memory of you, and we members of the class of ‘66 are blessed to have been able to call you friend. God Bless you. Dickey Moore

It is so sad to learn of Joe's passing; another classmate. He had a ready smile and his handsome face. Always a kind, respectful person. Joe, you will be missed. Sympathy to family and friends.

I would like to offer my condolences to Joe's family. I have known Joe literally all my life. We first met when we played little league baseball together in Marion, I was probably 8 or 10 years old. Even though I haven't seen him in many years, I still held him in high regard and with much respect. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

So sorry to hear of his passing. I guess we first met in basketball probably back in the late 50s or 60s when we didnt even have uniforms. We were either the shirts or skins. Then we started football up on hospital hill where they took all the uniforms and pads out of boxes and distributed them. That was the beginning of basketball and football in Marion. Joe was always at the top of each sport. We all (Johnny Crowder, Dale Heath ,Scrapper Brodie, Steve Henderson, Junior Wolfe, Justin Terry,...

So sorry to hear of the passing of another classmate from the Class of '66. Joe was a handsome man, and well liked in our class. He was very good athlete as well. He will be remembered with a smile by our classmates.
