Joseph Charles Wiesle,(87) a lifelong resident of Brinkley, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, in the same house he was born in on January 29, 1938. He was one of 11 children to the family of John Leo and Elizabeth Duerling Wiesle.
Although he only received a seventh-grade education, Joe was no stranger to hard work. A man of many talents, he worked in both painting and carpentry. In 1978 Joe secured a position with Corvesco, traveling throughout the US as an ironworker. He then began a fulfilling career as a truck driver with Wiesle and Wiesle Trucking where he remained until choosing to retire.
From 1974 -1978 Joe was known as a skilled skater and enjoyed times at the Brinkley Gay Time Skating Rink. This is where he met the mother of his children, Anna Sue McCallie. They made the choice of a lifetime commitment and married on September 29, 1961. They were blessed with the birth of two daughters, Cheyenne and Joeann.
Joe was also a proud veteran, having served his country with the National Guard and Army Reserves. His patriotism and sense of duty were commendable and contributed significantly to the respect and admiration he garnered within his community.
Joe was raised in the Catholic faith and most recently attended times of worship at the Aberdeen First Baptist Church in Roe. Beyond his faith, work, and service, Joseph was a man who cherished his loved ones and the times they spent together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna Sue Wiesle, and two brothers, Tommy and Johnny Wiesle, sisters Pauline Wilcutt, Mary Ann Reed, Teresa Jackson, Angela Hinton, and Kathryn Miles along with two infant siblings.
His spirit lives on through his daughters, Cheyenne Boston of Roe, Joeann Hale (Ray) of Brinkley, and his brother, Clarence Wiesle (Peggy) of Brinkley, his grandchildren Bridgett Guthrey, Justin Lawson and Sarah Boston and great-grandchildren Piper Guthrey and Ryan Guthrey.
The family appreciates your prayers and condolences during this difficult time.
