Not sure what to say?

I love the Comenzo's.
Some of the greatest moments and memories for me were, being there when Christopher was born and seeing the joy he brought to Jo when she was with him, she was proud to be be a grandmother to all her grandchildren.

Jimmy, if ever a person needed someone in a dire situation maybe even divine intervention you were my man. If I ever need to get to the hospital fast you are the one I want driving the Mustang.

John remember how many "stunads" we...

Jim & Family, John & Maurie,
My deepest sympathy to all of you in the loss of Jo. I was fortunate to have met her 19 years ago when she came to Bell Atlantic to apply for a position and I hired her to be my secretary. What a joy and a blessing that turned out to be - one of the best decisions I ever made. Her beauty inside and out, her wit/charm and intelligence made for an excellent secretary but more important was the truest blessing of a friendship that never wavered throughtout...

What a fighter Josephine was! I was so grateful to have the opportunity to meet her and learn about her from her loving family. I enjoyed our long conversations, Jim, and I thank you for all your input. Every once in a while, a special patient and a special family touches your heart. God bless you all.

Josephine's Obituary

Josephine Comenzo "Jo" 75, born November 17, 1934 in Manhattan, New York went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 27, 2010 where she is now fully alive. Josephine will be remembered as the devoted mother of James (Judy), and John (Maurie); beloved grandmother to Christopher (Rachael), Christina and James; loving sister to Mary Imperia(Charles); aunt to Josephine Franek ( Michael); great aunt to Michael, John and Victoria; dear cousin to Dr. Robert Potenza, Nancy DiBernardo and Lucillie Estabrook; aunt to Dr. Raymond Comenzo, Ronald Comenzo and Richard Comenzo. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Josephine DiBartolo. Josephine held Executive Secretary positions with a number of Fortune 500 companies, including American Standard and Kane Miller. Also, she was the Executive Secretary to Dr. Robert F. Gomprecht, Director of Medicine and Chief of Cardiology at Misericordia (Our Lady of Mercy) Medical Center in the Bronx. Her last job reflected her determination and compassion as she served as a teacher's assistant working with last chance teens the in Phoenix, Arizona School District. To keep this position she taught herself algebra at the age of 69.More importantly than what she did is who she was. Jo known for her unique blend of resolve, insight, faith in God, desire for truth and ability to bring out the best in other people was sought out by many. She knew how to be a faithful friend and gave people room to be themselves. She was also a deeply devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She was loved and adored by family and friends who will miss her love, wisdom and humor. A few of her favorite quotes follow:• It is better to try and fail, than do nothing and succeed.• The tragedy of man is what dies inside himself while he still lives. - Albert Schweitzer• Excellence is not an act it's a habit. Aristotle• Beware of the fury of a patient man.• Don't let your dreams be held captive by your circumstance. • He brought me into a gracious place because he delights in me. Ps. 18.19• Our attitude towards what has happened to us in life is the important thing to recognize. Once hopeless, my life is now hope-full, but it did not happen overnight. The last of human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, is to choose one's own way. ~ Victor FranklVisition will take place Saturday April 3, 2010 between the hours of 9AM and 11:30AM.
