Joshua "Josh" Darrell Scott, 37, of Jerusalem Road, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 16, 2015.The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ted Troutman of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church in Greensboro and Pastor Daniel Downing officiating. Burial will follow in Heath Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday March 20, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Josh was born May 7, 1977, in Davidson County to William "Bill" Darrell Scott and Vickie McCallum Scott Apple. He was a graduate of Central Davidson High School and completed his education at Western Carolina University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He was owner of Dent Kraft Inc., which gave Josh the opportunity to work in many states and foreign countries. He loved coastal fishing and was a collector of guns. He had a great personality and a very giving heart, which gave him the opportunity to make friendships both in his personal and professional life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William L. McCallum; and paternal grandfather, Burgess Scott and paternal grandmother, Grace Scott Hunsucker.Surviving are his father, Bill Scott and friend Aquilla Brink of Lexington; mother, Vickie Scott Apple and husband Bill of Greensboro;; sisters, Michelle Scott Baumann and husband Craig of Indian Land, SC, Tracie Scott Moore and friend Mike Hudspeth of High Point; brother, John Dawson Scott of Kernersville; ; grandmother, Elizabeth "Lib" McCallum of Asheboro; nephews, Dalton Stancil, Matthew Scott Moore; niece Grace Elizabeth Moore; his special friend, Emma, step-sister, Michelle Harris and husband Kip of Whitsett; step-brothers, Garrett Burton Apple and wife Charlene of Liberty, and Todd William Apple and wife Bridgette of Greensboro; and five step-nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Mt.
