Joshua Mizerak, age 47, passed away on July 21, 2025.
Josh was a true lover of sports - any and all - but especially hockey and Premier League soccer. His found family lived in the voices of radio hosts, TV commentators, and sports journalists whose insights filled his days. An old soul at heart, Josh cherished the feel of newsprint between his fingers and the quite satisfaction of a tough crossword.
He traveled across the county chasing live music, always hoping to hear his favorite song played just once more. Whether you were a close friend or a stranger, Josh would do anything to help. He found joy in connecting with like-minded people and was always looking for ways to make the world a little brighter, a little kinder. And without a doubt - he did just that.
An intimate service for family has already been held. Josh would ask that you cheer loudly for your favorite team, close your eyes and really feel your favorite song, do something kind for someone you don’t know, and remember: we are all stories in the end...just make it a good one.
Josh is survived by his beloved wife, Nicole Mizerak; mother-in-law, Jackie Trasp; brother, Joel (Eric) Mizerak Burch; sisters, Jeanette (Orie) Casciato, and Jennifer Mizerak; nieces, Katherine Casciato, and Cassandra King; nephews, Ian Mizerak, Adriano Casciato, and Tristen King, and his beloved fur babies, Yuki, Sal, Melody, Finley, and Charlotte.
Josh was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Mizerak.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Frye Funeral Home Inc., Monongahela.
