Joyce Irene Backhoff, 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born on January 25, 1943 to Cletus and Marjorie (Nolan) Ritchey in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.Joyce had been an accountant with Master Fit Corporation in Indianapolis, for more than 10 years. She was the matriarch of her family and very much loved her family, and enjoyed taking care of her grandkids. She is survived by her husband, Tom Backhoff; son, William (Kathy) Backhoff; daughter, Marianne Fox; son, Tommy (Katy) Backhoff, Jr; grandchildren, Mckenzie Miles, Jeremy Davidson II, Liam Backhoff & Asha Backhoff; and sisters, Carol (Ray) Reed, Patsy (Albert) Pudliner, Sylvia Cobaugh & Linda (Larry) Sullivan. Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers, with visitation beginning at 4:00 pm immediately prior to the service. Chaplain Rob Mifflin will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
