Not sure what to say?

Ken, Brian, Kristina, and family-
We are so sorry for your loss and thinking of you during this time of deep sorrow. We planted a memorial tree in her honor.
Kell & Sarah

I am just heartbroken over this. I didn’t realize her end was so near. I’m just glad I have all of my favorite memories from childhood that included her. Joyce, I believe you are out of pain and resting in the peace and love of Jesus Christ. God bless you.

Ken, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

To Ken,
Joyce was a special person and it
was a privilege to have known her.
She was so welcoming when I first moved to our neighborhood of Monte Vista.

With Sympathy to you and your family.
Chris Crapsey

I have many fond memories playing cards with my cousins. Your house or ours, it didn’t matter. I always remember the laughter and good times. Rest in peace cuz. Love, Kathy and Dana

Our sympathies to you Ken and your family. Joyce was so kind and loving. She will be missed. Now at peace.

Joyce's Obituary

DATTILO

Joyce Ann Dattilo passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the age of 72, after a nine-year battle with ovarian cancer. Joyce was born on January 8, 1953 to the late Joseph and Nina Barnhorst in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the loving wife of Ken; mother of Brian (Katie) and Kristina (Jeremy); grandmother of Logan, Maddie, and Hayden; and is also survived by numerous cherished siblings—Marcy, Diane, Denise and Jeff—as well as several nieces, nephews and many more family and friends.

She spent her childhood in Cincinnati and attended Seton Hall High School, where she met her future husband. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Education and taught elementary school for several years. She and Ken moved away, raising their children in Nashville, TN; Denton, TX; and Warner Robins, GA before returning to Ohio.

She lived her life devoted to God and family, loved reading by the pool, ocean, or lake, and cherished a good board game or round of cards. Her young grandchildren rekindled the instincts she had as an elementary school teacher. All who spent time with her knew to watch out as she could break into song at any moment. Travel and concerts in the park became later life passions. Her kind and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday December 11th from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Church. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the St. Ignatius Loyola Hall. We hope that all can attend to share in fellowship and words of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to cancer research. Mihovk-Rosenacker is honored to serve the family during this time.
