Not sure what to say?

I am just finding out about precious Joyce. I absolutely loved my time with her. She was so beautiful and so smart! I will miss our talks so much. My prayers are with her family who she absolutely adored!

I met Joyce and Bernie during one of the Immaculate Conception prayer groups and enjoyed both of them. I did see Joyce after Bernie's passing and she never seemed quite the same. They were involved in their catholic faith and I enjoyed them during the group sessions and also as fellow parishioners at mass. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and extend my condolences to the family. She was a wonderful lady.

Dear Maguire family. I am so saddened to hear about Joyce’s passing. I haven’t seen your parents since they moved from Northern Virginia. They were such wonderful people. They were a beautiful and special couple who loved each other and were so proud of their family. I hope that your sadness will be lighter knowing that your parents had such a positive effect on so many people throughout their lifetime. May God bless you at this very difficult time. At a 1960 HS graduation party, I was chatting up a lovely girl I had just met; her name was Joyce. I thought things were going pretty well until my classmate and fellow oarsman Bernie Maguire strolled in. And just like that, Joyce dropped me like a hot potato and made a beeline for Bernie. I don't think I had ever seen a girl move that fast before. Well, as it turns out, she made a darn good decision, and they were in love for the next 60-some years. My wife Lou and I remained lifelong...

We'll miss our beautiful friend. It was so nice having her down the street in Porters Neck, nice to shop together, have nails done together, lunch together and meet to catch up on our lives after she moved from Porters Neck. She is a forever friend and leaves a big void.
Love you Joyce, Sallie and Bill

We met Joyce and Bernie back in 2016 when we moved to Porters Neck. It was hard enough when her husband Bernie took ill and passed. But, losing Joyce has been surreal. She really did set the bar high for get up and go and vim and vigor. Joyce was truly known for her beauty, grace, kindness, and gentle spirit. She and Bernie were wonderful friends to have and we are grateful that our ships crossed paths in life. We will miss Joyce.

I'm saddened to read this, but pleased to see that she lived so long and got to watch her seemingly endless family grow and prosper. Joyce was one of the good ones

My deepest condolences to your family for the loss of your Mom. She was an incredible person and I was honored to call her my best friend. She was kind, considerate, loyal, trustworthy, fun, and could always be counted on in times of need. I have countless memories of wonderful times we shared. I will miss her deeply.
