Joyce Elaine (Weisser) Warren passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday, December 18th where she was residing with family in Blaine, MN. She was born June 9, 1939 and grew up in Milford, Indiana with her parents, Charlie and Wanda (Rollins) Weisser and two sisters, Carol (Robert) Geiger and Lee Ann (Bill) Gladieux who preceded her in death. She graduated from Milford High School, was named Miss Milford, and married Jimmy (Jim) Warren from Nappanee, Indiana in 1958 and resided in Granger, Indiana for 50+ years. Her faith was important, prayed diligently, and attended church throughout her life. Joyce had three sons, Todd (Cherrill) Warren, Tim Warren, and Ty (Pam) Warren, five grandchildren (Roxanne (Jayde) Nordby, Raeleen (Dan) Rowe, Rachel Warren, Bailey Warren, and Emily (Evan) Reed, with four great grandchildren Lilah Rowe, Theodore Rowe, Blaire Nordby, and Ella Kate Reed. Joyce's heart was to be a devout wife, loving mother and grandmother, which she lived out with 59 years of marriage and serving her family. She's known for her kindness, gentleness, natural beauty, and sweetness. Joyce enjoyed gardening, trying new recipes, journaling, visiting with neighbors and friends, the companionship of her Yorkie, spending time with family, quiet moments of reflection, traveling, reminiscing, reading, and worship.
A time for remembering of Joyce's life is being planned for Monday, December 29th at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder funeral home located in Nappanee, IN. A viewing from 10:00-11:00 am, with a service from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jim at the Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee, IN. The family welcomes you to join them in a time of remembrance of her life with them.
