Juana Hernandez 81 entered eternal rest on September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Harlingen, Texas.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Andres and Isabel Camacho; brother Jose Camacho, and sister, Maria Alvarez.
Juana was employed with Levi Strauss company for 20 years and retired in 1999. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandma, aunt, and friend who will be extremely missed. She created a strong foundation with timeless memories. Juana was a strong woman who showed her family, unity, faith, and always do for others without expecting anything in return.
Our mother had a heart of gold who would give you her last dollar if you needed it. She opened her doors when needed and touched so many lives. Juana’s happy place was being surrounded by family playing Chalupa and lending an ear without judgment. She had a way to make you feel that with our virgencita, anything was possible.
Although her passing was a sudden loss to our family, we promised to keep her Legacy alive and cherish all her life lessons, and her endless love and advice. As our mom would always say, “Si Dios quiere mañana será otro día.”
Juana leaves behind her husband of 63 years Silviano Hernández; nine children, Isabel Macias (Ben), Frances Castaneda (Arnold), Silvia Hernández, Juan Hernandez (Mary), Julia Zuniga (Eduardo), Silviano Hernandez Jr., Irma Perez (Alex), Noemi Hernandez (Eduardo), and Cristina Franco (Wilson); 26 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; 2 brothers and 1 Sister.
The Hernandez family wants to extend a special thank you to Valley Baptist and Solara hospital for the care that was given to our mother. Thank you to Gilbert from Valley Baptist Medical Center, and Eric from Solara Specialty Hospital for their kind words and the care they provided. Thank you to Cano Medical and staff for all the years of Care. Thank you to Casa Granado floral and Sophia’s flower shop & more for their floral arrangements. A special thank you to Dr. Mogbolahan Martin Kuye for his endless support and presence with us till our mother’s last breath.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday September 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in La Feria, Texas.
Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Aaron Hernandez, Michael, Castaneda, Luis Hernandez, Miguel Hernandez, Ruben Castaneda, Oscar Macias, Moises Hernandez; serving as honorary pallbearer is eldest granddaughter, Maritza Perez.
Your prayers, kindness, love, and condolences have brought so much joy and comfort to our hearts. We will always cherish every one of you all thank you.
