Judah Daniel, our beloved son, made a profound impact and touched countless hearts in his brief yet powerful life. Born on December 18, 2025, at 3:19 p.m., Judah was with us for 21 precious minutes and was welcomed into God’s eternal Kingdom at 3:40 p.m., while wrapped in our arms. There would never have been enough time with him. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we have hope that we will all be together again one day in Heaven. We long for that day.
Funeral services will take place at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. followed by fellowship and light refreshments before burial at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
The name Judah Daniel was chosen with great intention and born out of surrender—praising Jesus in the midst of pain, uncertainty, and fear. From the beginning of this journey, the vision of a lion was pronounced, especially when we learned after the 20-week ultrasound that our son had a life-limiting genetic condition called Trisomy 13. The Lion of Judah, Jesus, provided comfort, protection, and divine strength to our aching hearts. The peace we have felt truly surpasses understanding, and we know it is from Christ alone.
We witnessed God working through our son in miraculous and beautiful ways leading up to his birth—strengthening our bonds as a family, reminding us of the goodness of people, and giving us opportunities to share the love and hope of Jesus with others walking through their own valleys. From our best friends gathering to pray over Kelsey before entering the hospital, to Joe being able to baptize Judah before he passed, to watching Olivia, Timothy, and George love on their baby brother, the impact Judah Daniel left on our world was profound and life-changing.
We know God will continue to use Judah’s story in ways far beyond what we can see. Even though the miracle we boldly and tirelessly prayed for did not happen in his physical body here on earth, perhaps the miracle was in our hearts and in the hearts of those whose lives were touched. We hold tightly to Judah’s 21 minutes of life, knowing they carried deep purpose, brought glory to God’s Kingdom, and are now entrusted to the mystery of God’s greater plan. Praise be.
We love you all, Joe and Kelsey
