I met the Honorable Judge Jack Watson one evening. I saw Judge Watson walking his White German shepherd and I immediately ran across Lake Street to see this beautiful dog. I then, met Jack!! I thought to myself what a kind man and gentle man. I did not know him at the time but I knew by looking at his eyes that he was one of a kind. Loved me some Justice Watson!
He gave me my first job out of law school and he truly altered the trajectory of my life in so many good ways! The legal exposure and the scholarship of the Supreme Court was an amazing experience for a young country boy. I have him to thank for my beautiful wife and two children, my practice, and all the persons that I have been able to help over the years. Judge would bring his labradoodles into my Petco store and he struck up a conversation. He knew my dad who was a local attorney. He was always excited to tell me about his travels all over the world. Loved his dogs. I was at a local eatery and he and his lovely wife were there and we spoke . When I went to pay my bill, the waitress said Judge had bought me lunch. Glad to hear he is being laid to rest in Jonesboro, LA with honors where my mom and grandparents are buried. RSIP Judge
