Judith (Judy)'s Obituary

In loving memory of Judith Anita Coppock Martin who passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Judy was the devoted wife of Michael and loving mother of Brenda, Michael Jr., and Tony. She was a source of unconditional love and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Born in Sebastopol in 1940, Judy married her high school sweetheart Michael, and they were together 67 years upon her passing. As a mother, Judy was always there for her children, whether they needed advice, a laugh, or food for a household of friends. She was a kind, caring and giving person who put the needs of her family before her own.

Throughout her career, Judy worked at Bank of America and Sonoma County DA’s office, her jobs being a great source of pride for her. Upon retirement, Judy and Michael ran their own business, Buena Vista Orchards, and they spent many days working at local farmer’s markets. She loved trading apples and cider for flowers and fresh vegetables, often coming home with more than she bargained for.

Everyone will always remember Judy for the perfectly coordinated outfits she wore. She loved a colorful cowboy hat and had one in almost every color, along with matching boots. For those who knew her best, Judy’s quick wit and sense of humor will be remembered fondly.

Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Parsons and 3 brothers, Larry, Richard and David Coppock.  She is survived by her husband Michael Sr., daughter Brenda (John Freitas) Martin, son Michael Jr. (Vicki) Martin, and son Tony (Stacey) Martin; 2 grandchildren, Erica (Tim) Head and Maxwell Martin; and great-grandson, William Head; brothers Monty and Duane Coppock, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Judy, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you.
