Not sure what to say?

It still feels inappropriate to call her Judy, so I will say this: Mrs. McFerran was not just my first grade teacher, she was my favorite teacher, and the kindest human. As a first grader at Mt. Zion, she somehow knew which days I came to school hungry, and she would “sneak” me up to the cafeteria for a few Snickerdoodles, fresh out of the oven, to hold me over until lunch. The kindness she showed me at a very young age made a lifelong impression on me and inspired me to treat others with the...

What a friend, mentor and faithful servant to God’s Word! Judy was as beautiful inside and out! Inclusive, intentional in kindness for anyone she met! Dedicated servant/witness to the end! Judy’s influence in our family’s lives has been significant! We laughed, cried and prayed together! She will be missed, but her Bible Studies live on through all that came to learn! Rest in the arms of the Lord, dear friend! Joy abounds in being with Amy and her mom again!❤

Aunt Judy will always be remembered as a fierce warrior of of Jesus. God rest her sweet soul.

Toby ,

We are so sorry for your loss. I know how much your grandma meant to you—and how much love and care you gave her in return. She was clearly an incredible person to have raised someone as kind and devoted as you.

Wishing you peace, strength, and gentle moments of comfort in the days ahead.

With heartfelt sympathy,

Your Orbit Family

Judy was a true Christian lady. We know she is face to face with her Savior. She was always so much fun and a great creative teacher.
Toby she dearly loved you and prayers for comfort. She will be missed.

Judy could be so funny and so kind. She was creative and smart and always serving others. Toby, I’m remembering an essay you wrote about being on an endless road trip home from the Covered Bridge Festival. She is home with Jesus after endless adventures with you and others she loved. I cherish my memories of her.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I'm a cousin, down the line, that always enjoyed the pleasure of laughs and wonderful conversations with cous Judy when possible.
My heart and prayers go out to her grandson, whom she was extremely proud of.

Oh Judy what a wonderful blessing to know you are with Jesus! Toby I pray for you to be surrounded with sweet memories of your grandma until you meet again! We are so thankful for Judy in our life, knowing her at Sommer elementary as one of the best teachers we have ever met. We have been blessed by her kind ways and our kids have been shaped by her love!

Judy was an amazing, fun-loving, elegant woman who loved Jesus and people. Her passion for God's Word left sparks everywhere she went. It was always special to be with her whether at a craft show, Sunday School, or in her home where her hospitality dripped with joy. She will be missed. Hugs and Blessings to all her loved ones. She's dancing on those golden streets!
